From green fees to equipment, to tourism and television, the game of golf plays a wide-ranging role in the American economy. To determine the size and scope of this impact, SRI International conducted an extensive study in 2002 on behalf of GOLF 20/20.
Collectively, the golf goods and services in America accounted for more than $62.2 billion in the year 2000.
