Head of Guest Insights & Strategy

How You’ll Do It

  • Establish and lead the strategy, best practices and processes around current and emerging guest experience insights for Topgolf
  • Leads the team responsible for the delivery of data driven insights to understand our guests and improve marketing performance
  • Leads all marketing analytics programs, reporting, technology, and vendor relationships
  • Analyze large data sets (internal and external) and develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns and insights in customer data
  • Provide tracking, measurement and ROI analysis for marketing initiatives and campaigns, both during and post-execution
  • Identify and translate key guest trends to insights that shape Topgolf’s business strategies
  • Partner cross-functionally with BI, Strategy, Operations, Technology Innovation and Finance to drive a better guest experience, including research on guest needs, measuring the attractiveness of potential new products/services, and evaluating the guest experience for ideas that are launched
  • Deliver compelling presentations with unique and actionable insights to key stakeholders
  • Inspire innovation by uncovering new challenges and opportunities
  • Manage Guest Insights & Strategy budget and priorities
  • Manage selection and day to day interaction with 3rd party agencies and recognized consumer research thought leaders
  • Drive department values of teamwork and collaboration, startup-thinking and intellectual curiosity

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline; graduate degree with a quantitative focus is a strong plus
  • 10+ years of progressive work related experience in guest/consumer insights, market research, analytics or related area from a leading or major consumer brand, preferably in the Hospitality industry or similar environment
  • Strong analytical capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint, Google suite. SAS/SPSS/SQL is a plus
  • Experience with data and insights tools such as Hitwise, Crimson Hexagon, ComScore, Google planning tools
  • Demonstrated ability to gain credibility with executives and key stakeholders, as well as negotiation and persuasion abilities required in order to present ideas and recommend strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated track record of creating systems/processes to guide guest insights into action within a complex organization
  • Demonstrated understanding of hospitality or entertainment industry dynamics and economics
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and direct multiple project assignments in a relatively unstructured environment
  • Team builder with demonstrated track record of successfully managing, motivating and developing a team
