British Columbia Golf
In 1990, after a career in banking and finance, Kris started in the golf industry. In 1996, he assumed the position of Executive Director of the British Columbia Golf Association. In 2004, the BCGA successfully amalgamated with the British Columbia Ladies Golf Association. The organization rebranded as British Columbia Golf and today he serves in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer.
In 2000, Kris was elected to the board of the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA) and he served as President in 2007. Kris is active in the sport community in BC working closely with other sport bodies through organization like viaSport and Sport BC. Currently he volunteers on the board for the First Tee of Greater Vancouver.
Kris is a strong supporter of Canadian Sport for Life, including fundament movement skills for children and a long-term athlete development model for golf in Canada.
Kris enjoys playing competitively in club events as well as recreational golf and is looking forward to the future when he can enjoy golf with both grandchildren.
